Sven Longshanks and the PatriArt discuss the first Julian invasion of Britain, which got not further than a few miles inland.
Caesar was undefeated on the continenet, but was sent back to Gaul with his tail between his legs after encountering the Britons.
He even managed to lose his sword, along with half his fleet when the channel gales proved to also be on our side.
The chariot warfare that he describes proves the connection between Britain and Troy, as this was the first time Caesar had seen it in action.
It also proves that Britain had roads a long time before the Romans came to the country.
