Loyalism is an obscure area of research for even educated Americans. Few have any idea what this movement sought to achieve. Even fewer could enumerate the basic arguments they put forth.

Today, both Britain and America have institutionalized evil and corruption beyond even the vocabulary of 1783. Still, how would the world be different if the revolt failed and a royalist Anglo-American union persisted?

Would Revolutionary France have been defeated? Would Napoleon ever have come to power? Would the Rothschilds come to power without the Revolution in France? Would republicanism be at least partly discredited? Would contract theory ever develop in America?
