Sven Longshanks and Max Musson discuss Conservative U-turns and begin a presentation of Britain and the Eugenics movement.
The Conservative Party had their conference last week, amid the party doing a complete U-turn on its economic policy of cutting the highest rate of tax.
Liz Truss wants to increase immigration, but if reports are true, her new Home Secretary is keen to limit illegal immigration by banning asylum seekers and starting the flights to Rwanda.
Britain started the Eugenics movement and gave it the name. Eugenic policies were not something new, it had been going on for centuries under different guises. One unfortunate feature of the 19th century eugenicists was to use terms like ‘superior’ and ‘inferior’, when ‘desirable’ and ‘less desirable’ may have been better.
