Grandpa Dan looks at the different concerns of the young and the elderly and how politicians dont seem to care about either.
Parish of the Patriots contains one of a kind thought provoking discussion as well as a Christian specific message that you won’t find anywhere else. If you get something out of the show, your voluntary financial support is very much appreciated. If you wish to be a part of supporting this show, you can find that information at the bottom of this page.
There are patterns to one’s world view that coincide with age. The view of a child is not the same as the view of a young man, nor is the view of the young man the same as that of an elder. This is a normal part of the human condition.
For a normal person, the older they become the more they view the future as important, even though the likelihood of them taking part in that future grows more dim with each passing day. At some point, what the world will look like for future generations matters more than what the world looks like right now.
Again, this is a part of the normal pattern of the way human beings view the world around them as they go through the different stages of their life. However this does not appear to be so for the average politician in the democracy system of the U.S.
The view of these people appears to be totally inverted. Their concerns are not for the state of the world left for future generations but instead, they would without hesitation sell out the entirety of the future for humanity for an extra bag of silver and a position of power and status for just a few more years.
In the Christian specific segment we’ll be taking a look at two different passages from both the Old Testament and the New. At first glance, it might appear that these two passages have nothing in common, yet they are actually quite similar. That similarity lies that in both instances, a covenant is being made.
Bible reference this week will be: Joshua 24: 15-16, Joshua 24: 19-22 and Mathew 27: 15-26
“Even setting religion aside, everyone knows who Jesus is. Yet no one knows the name of a single scribe or pharisee who persecuted him”
